***Basically the same model as my P3-C Ver 2, with a few exceptions:
A completely re-vamped .Air file that was tested by a real pilot (see below). You can now shut down Engine 1 or 4 inflight in the feathered position, Engine 2 and 3 will only shut down in the non-feathered position in-flight. All Engines will shut down normally (not feathered), on the ground. Fixed the Wing Nav lights, they now turn on and off.

***More NEW Important Notes***
Taking off is pretty straight forward, any flap setting and a lot of
throttle. Landing is much easier in this version. Any flap setting will
now produce more lift and create a nose down attitude. This is by design to mimic a more nose down attitude while landing, in the real aircraft. The more you extend the flaps, the more nose down affect you get, making landing at any speed with any fuel load possible. You no longer have to set "prop rpm to low" to land. You can also refer to the Beech King Air operating procedures for additional information on engine settings. Like the Beech King Air you can also shut down and feather the engine(s). An example of how to do this is...select the engine E+1 (hit the E key and then the one key). Then reduce the throttle for that engine to zero. Then hit CTRL+F1 and CTRL+F2 and the engine will start to shut down (winmill). Then shut off the starter/ignition switch and the generator for that engine (if you don't engine will continue to windmill) or select CTRL+SHIFT+F1. To re-start the engine(s), put starter/ignition and generator switches to on and then hit CTRL+F4 or select CTRL+E to do an autostart.

*** OLD Important Notes***
First off you will need to replace the panel and sounds. I personally
use a Concorde panel (conpan.zip) as I have modified it for my own use
for this aircraft. The only 4-Engine turboprop panel that is available (that I know of) is the panel the is included in cvl1882k.zip Lockheed Electra L-188 by the Cielo Co. and the VIP Group, available at Flightsim.com. The sounds that I use are tbprop.zip by Reinhard Herrmann also available at Flightsim.com.

Description:
The P3-C Orion is a land-based, long-range, anti-submarine warfare (ASW) patrol aircraft. It has advanced submarine detection sensors such
as directional frequency and ranging (DIFAR) sonobuoys and magnetic anomaly detection (MAD) equipment.

Features:
Full animation, Full lighting, Bombay w/Torpedoes, Apu door that opens and closes with gear up or down, a NEW FS2K .air file. Bombay works using the ( / ) Spoiler key, but this has no affect on airspeed.

Light Controls:
Turn on Landing Light's and wing Nav light"s with "L", turn off "Shift L and or Ctrl L".
Turn on the Strobes Lights with "O". Strobes are white during the day
and red at night.
The P3-C has no wing strobes, that's why there aren't any on this a/c.

Installation
If Ver 1 or 2 is installed, remove and replace with this version. Unzip all files to a temporary folder, then move the unzipped folder to your FS2000\Aircraft folder. I've included the default 4-eng RG panel and Beech King Air sounds but you should replace these with whatever you would like to use.

Although I did not use any of the original P3 parts, I did use the .AFX for the Backdrops and portions of the .air and texture files.

Disclaimer:
I have designed this version from scratch using FS Design Studio(tm)
Version 1.5b, and Aircraft Animator Version 1.2E. This Aircraft will work in FS2000 but not in FS98. I haven't tested it in CFS2. If this A/C dumps your computer, I am not responsible. I have tested this aircraft for over a month and have never had a lock-up or any other problem. My system configuration is WinME, PIII450 (ockld to 504) with 256MB SDRAM, VooDoo3 3000.
